six months of my phone’s absence never failed to give me this feeling of unwanted peace of mind. it has been a long period of isolation, unupdated, and left me unabreast with the latest chimis specifically with regard the lives of my friends and classmates.
finally the long wait is over. after months of heavy persuasion my father gave in, yesterday i bought a worn out, scratch proof, and uber abused “6600″ phone at isetan recto. it was a cheap bargain. 1,700 bucks for a second hand obsolete camera phone filled with features enough to make your grandma dizzy and experience second childhood.
honestly speaking im having second thoughts on buying a second hand phone i wanted to own a brand new i-phone 3G *dream on* in the first place but my idealism was shattered by a forced and unwillfully given 2000 pesos, where in hell can i find a 2000 peso i-phone? reality check, im on a tight budget so i just have to bear with it, recto was my last resort.
at first i was skeptical regarding the phones durabilty given that it is a pre-owned stuff it might have some “hidden” problems waiting to explode, in that case i may not be getting my money’s worth. futhermore im also having doubts especially with the manner the phone is acquired it is an open secret that recto is a haven for snatchers and i have a first hand experience to back this up.
the integrity of the phones aquisition has always been a factor for me, maybe not this time, desperate times calls for desperate measures so succumbed to my innate cheapness which is in fact natural to me and bought the phone na mukang mainit init pa at fresh galing sa nakaw.
i guess what comes around, goes around.
gsm ba? you decide.
i’ll just message my new number, or better yet message me your numbers, help me rebuild my contact list…eskandaloso kasi pag dito…
